Welcome to Berninneit – our multi award winning cultural masterpiece in Cowes, Phillip Island.


Located just a block back from the beach and in the thriving town centre of Cowes, this sustainably built arts hub has been created to showcase the soul of entertainment, music, art, performance, exhibitions, culture and community in Phillip Island for generations to come.


Berninneit (Bunurong for 'gather together') offers a 265 capacity theatre, a grand hall, art gallery, customer and visitor information centre, museum, MYLI library, community spaces, kiosk and the incredible public art piece Yawa by Maree Clarke.

Monday - Friday: 9:30am – 5:00pm
Wednesday: 5pm - 10pm
Friday: 5pm - 10pm
Saturday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Berninneit is also open for live events and more days for cinema screenings during school holidays.
We strongly recommend that you pre-purchase tickets ahead of time to avoid disappointment. Accessible seating is available.
