Martin Scorsese's sprawling three-and-a-half-hour masterpiece, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is a romance, a western, a whodunit, and a poignant exploration of the brutal Osage murders of the 1920s. Set against the backdrop of Oklahoma's oil discovery on Osage Nation territory, the film portrays the systematic killings of the Osage people, leading to a gripping narrative that unfolds as the FBI intervenes to uncover the truth behind the atrocities.  Killers of the Flower Moon received 10 Oscar nominations for the 2024 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Director. Among the nominees were Lily Gladstone and Scott George, making history as the first Native Americans nominated for an Oscar in their respective categories of Best Actress and Best Original Song.

This film is being shown as part of Bass Coast Cultural Venues Oscar Season Program.
