A young boy named Mahito yearning for his mother ventures into a world shared by the living and the dead. There, death comes to an end, and life finds a new beginning. The film is the english language version.
A semi-autobiographical fantasy from the mind of Hayao Miyazaki set during the Pacific War when Mahito discovers an abandoned tower in his new town after his mother's death and enters a fantastical world with a talking grey heron.
