Amplify presents Pride Months Exclusive Talent Show

Welcome to this year’s first AMPLIFY event!

AMPLIFY is a small LGBTIQA+ group, aged 12 to 25, from Bass Coast and South Gippsland, and are the recipients of the 2023 Health Equal Youth Grant from the Victorian Youth Affairs Council. We meet weekly at headspace Wonthaggi. We want to continue hosting fun and educational events for our community to empower other LGBTIQA+ young people.

On the 13th of June, we will be holding an art exhibition and talent show! Our event will be held at the WUCAC (Wonthaggi Union Community Art Centre) from 4:30pm to 7:30 pm. The art exhibition will be held in the main foyer from 4:30 to 5:30 and the talent show will be in the theatre room from 6:00 to 7:30.

For the art exhibition, we encourage young people to represent their artistic work however they want. We also encourage young people to represent their queer identity, whether it be sexual orientation or sexuality, through their artwork if they feel comfortable. For our talent show, we welcome any act or performance (if it is age appropriate) we ask that each performance keeps within the maximum time limit of 5 minutes so that we can see each and every amazing act.

We welcome young people aged 12-25 to participate in the talent show and to show off their art. Those who are not aged 12-25 or don’t want to participate are more than welcome to enjoy the show!
